when the first time i heard this phrase coming out from my mother's mouth,all i can say is ridiculous...i know that she had a very2 bad history with her bestfriend,that she would never trust anyone except herself,but it doesn't work that way for me..i shared almost everything with my bestfriend..its not like sharing problems or stories with mother are bad,its just they dun get or understand us the way person at our age does..
but there is a saying goes about whatever coming out from your mother's mouth is right..and i just realized that it is true...so listen to your mom..
people are diversy..different people have different concept of friendships..we are human being..sometimes we are so naive to consider people who are close to us are our bestfriends,we just simply consider that because we have spent a lot of time together,sometimes hard and fine together..as simple as that we claim that the person is our bestfriend.
coming to the point of a genuine,pure and honest thought,u realized it is wrong...being considered as someone's elses bestfriend is not that easy...it is not as simple as that.yes it is one of the criteria but not just that..it is not enough...

a true friend is someone that will scold you when u do something wrong,telling u that u have gone too far and draging you to come back.They would not let u make mistakes that you know you will regret it.

but there are the type of friend which i consider as confused who have all the aforementioned criteriae,but just did it because they have no choice,they tried their best to fit and adapt to your life system until you consider them as bestfriend,then when they met with someone that are actually seperti dia,then they just leave you without notice.not even care.
these are not everything...even if you are someone that doesnt have all the criteriae,it doesnt mean you are not fit to become someone's bestfriend..we can always learn to improve.that is what life is about,LEARNING.
in fact we learn everyday.that is because we are human,we are not
i have been betrayed twice by the only 2 person that i considered as bestfriends here...i am no longer believe in the real definition of friendships.

last resort : i know this might sound weird but the best thing is to forgive and let go. and i know you're hurt, so i guess just keep a distance.
